How it works: Projects, files, and previews are stored and rendered entirely in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server.
App lock: Optional device-level lock using your phone or computer's own Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN prompt (WebAuthn). ViewPort never sees or stores your biometric data — only a signed confirmation from your device. This confirms your device's owner is present; it is not an identity or account system.
Send to screen (Cast): An optional way to show your current preview on another screen (a TV, a laptop, another browser) using a direct peer-to-peer connection and a short pairing code. Your project is sent only when you start a pairing session — never automatically, never to a CHIKARA server.
Honesty note: ViewPort has no live AI feature, so AI Provider Sovereignty does not apply. The PWA install prompt and offline shell depend on your browser's support for service workers — most current mobile and desktop browsers support this.
